My story
Three cats, a small flat and a lot of trial and error.
I adopted my first cat, Miso, from a shelter with nothing but a bowl and a cardboard box. Two more cats later, I have tried more litter boxes, fountains and scratchers than I would like to admit.
Some products changed our home for the better. Others ended up at the back of a cupboard. catcove is where I share the ones worth buying, with the trade-offs left in.
I check every pick against a live Amazon US listing, choose one version of each product and never accept paid placements.

Three things I tell every new cat owner.
One box per cat, plus one
Two cats? Three boxes. Spread them out, away from food and water, in quiet corners.
Water away from food
Cats prefer to drink away from their food bowl. A fountain in another room often doubles how much they drink.
Scratch where they scratch
Put the post right next to the sofa corner they love, then move it slowly once the habit sticks.
