Automatic feeders keep meals on time and stop early morning wake-up calls. These seven cover gravity, timed, wet food and selective feeders.
Every product below links to a live Amazon US listing that was checked for an in-stock offer for this guide. The card shows Amazon’s current price and availability, so always confirm the size, colour and dimensions on the listing before you buy.
Before you buy: Check food type (wet or dry), capacity and power options on each listing. If your cat has a health issue, ask your vet first.
1. Amazon Basics Gravity Food and Water Set
A gravity feeder and waterer pair: the bowls refill themselves as your cat eats and drinks.
The simplest backup for a weekend away, with no power or app. The catch: it does not portion food, so it is only for cats who do not overeat. On Amazon it holds about 4.5 out of 5 stars from more than 28,400 ratings.
Best for: Free-feeding cats and short trips.
Verdict: Cheap and fuss-free.
2. VOLUAS 4L Automatic Cat Feeder
A timed dry-food feeder with a 4-litre hopper, programmable meals and a voice recording.
It portions meals on a schedule, so my early riser stopped waking me at 5am. Battery backup keeps meals going during a power cut. Use dry kibble only, and test the portion size for a few days. On Amazon it holds about 4.4 out of 5 stars from more than 12,500 ratings.
Best for: Cats who wake you for breakfast.
Verdict: The best value timed feeder.
3. HoneyGuaridan Feeder for 2 Cats
A timed feeder with a splitter and two steel bowls, so two cats eat at once.
My two cats used to fight over one bowl. With two bowls served at the same moment, breakfast became calm. Portions are shared from one hopper, so it suits cats on the same food. On Amazon it holds about 4.3 out of 5 stars from more than 7,500 ratings.
Best for: Two cats on the same diet.
Verdict: Calm meals for two.
4. Timed 4L Automatic Cat Feeder
A 4-litre dry food feeder with up to several timed meals a day and a voice call.
A solid no-app feeder: set times and portion sizes on the buttons and it just works. Run it on mains with batteries as backup. Kibble only, and check small portions the first week. On Amazon it holds about 4.4 out of 5 stars from more than 5,500 ratings.
Best for: Owners who want timed meals without Wi-Fi.
Verdict: Set it and forget it.
5. Cat Mate C500 5-Meal Feeder
A five-compartment timed feeder for wet or dry food, with ice packs to keep food cool.
One of the few timed feeders that handles wet food. The lid rotates to reveal one compartment at a time. A dedicated cat can sometimes pry it, so watch the first week. On Amazon it holds about 4.2 out of 5 stars from more than 11,300 ratings.
Best for: Wet-food eaters and portion control.
Verdict: Timed wet food, solved.
6. oneisall Feeder for 2 Cats
A timed feeder with two bowls that split each meal for two cats.
Both cats get breakfast at the same time from one hopper. Works well if your cats eat the same food. Portion sizes are set together, not per cat. On Amazon it holds about 4.6 out of 5 stars from more than 4,500 ratings.
Best for: Two cats on the same food.
Verdict: One feeder, two bowls.
7. IMIPAW Automatic Cat Feeder
A timed feeder with a stainless steel bowl and a desiccant to keep kibble fresh.
A good basic timed feeder with a steel bowl that is easy to wash. Simple buttons, no app needed. On Amazon it holds about 4.4 out of 5 stars from more than 5,300 ratings.
Best for: Owners who want timed meals without an app.
Verdict: Simple and reliable.
